In May, the MOAA Military Family Initiative (MOAA MFI) launched its new Community Outreach MOAA Council/Chapter Grant Program. Through this program, the MOAA MFI will provide grants to MOAA councils and chapters providing direct support to local military and veteran families in areas of particular need. A number of MOAA councils and chapters nationwide are engaged in this type of very real, high-impact work. They are reaching out to current serving families and veterans of all ranks and providing assistance in critical areas like housing, employment, financial assistance, behavioral health and more. After two years, the MOAA MFI mission now calls on us to do everything possible to assist our councils and chapters in these vital efforts, and we need your support.
