The chapter supports the NJROTC programs at Charlotte, Port Charlotte, North Port and Lemon Bay High Schools with scholarships. The scholarship winners and their families attend our May meetings. Their awards are also announced by one of our members, in uniform, at their school awards program.
The chapter is a participating member of the Charlotte County Veterans Council.  The chapter also supports the fund raising and long term maintenance of the Southwest Florida Vietnam Memorial Wall Project (50% replica) and various other veteran projects.
We also have a Community Outreach Program of sponsoring a Military Band every year for a free concert open to the general public. In 2015 we had the Army Field Band and Soldiers Chorus. In October of 2016,  we had the Marine Corps Band, the President's own.

The chapter is also active in supporting the state council in various state veterans' issues.
